Dear Price Family,
Price Women & Allies (PWA) would like to welcome you back to school with our first newsletter of the academic year! Though we are not all together physically, PWA is looking forward to continuing to build community at Price through our events. We are extremely excited for our upcoming plans for activities, events, and more for the 2020-2021 year and we can’t wait to meet you all!
We want to recognize the challenges that come with this current school year. We’re still in the midst of a global pandemic and the country is undergoing a reckoning with its racist past and present. The 2020-2021 Executive Board is committed to continuing PWA’s mission of female empowerment, while also promoting student activism on campus. We are committed to fostering a diverse community at Price and celebrating the intersectionality of identities that strengthen the Price community. Throughout the semester, PWA will be hosting a slew of familiar events like our Girl Gang Hangs and Happy Hours as well as providing resources for careers and opportunities to simply open conversations about what is happening on and off campus. While this may look a little different because we won’t be convening in the RGL lounge, we hope to find creative ways to strengthen our community as women in policy.Â
For those of you who are passionate about women's empowerment and want to know more about how to get involved with PWA leadership, you’re in luck! We currently have an opening for a Manager of Operations position for the school year! The position is open to undergraduate and first-year Masters students. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside the Director of Operations as well as collaborate with all members of the Executive Board. It is a great opportunity to join student leadership and to be a part of something truly meaningful and special at Price. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage, there will be three rounds of trivia about famous women in history: you bring the beer and we’ll bring the questions. No worries if you don’t come with a team, we’ll assign you to one!
Girl Gang Hang : Intel Edition

Orientation is over, but do you feel like you still need the lowdown on great courses, professors, resources, and activities? Come to the first Girl Gang Hang of the Fall 2020 semester for all the insider intel from 2nd year students! This event will be an informal time for new students to connect with 2nd years who can share what they wish they had known when they were starting out at Price. Nothing is off the table in this student only forum. Come with questions if you’re a first year, and your most real advice if you’re an experienced student with knowledge to share.
